Fire Outreach Poster

Kenai National Wildlife Refuge staffed a booth at the annual Kenai Peninsula Sports, Recreation, and Trade Show in Soldotna April 28 - 30, 2006.  Nine staff members helped greet the 4,703 people who came by the booth.  The Refuge theme was fire safety and information was provided on campfire reminders, "firewise" practices around cabins and wilderness homes, and local fire history.   The Refuge also hosted a game involving the fire triangle (heat, fuel, and oxygen).  Over 300 visitors played the game and seemed to enjoy the results.
