Many community members living around Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge have always supported the Refuge’s conservation goals. As a way to keep folks better informed and get them involved in what’s happening on the Refuge, including issues, events and opportunities, the refuge has formed the group, Friends of Tetlin Refuge.  “Friends” will receive a quarterly “electronic” newsletter as well as periodic notices and reminders of upcoming events.  Charter members of the group (parents, students and partners of the refuge's environmental education programs) eagerly joined. In its first year, we are anxious to see how the group evolves and the momentum it generates.
