Journal Entry   Back AK PENINSULA: Employee Essay Selected for Publishing Alaska Region, December 3, 2004 Print Friendly Version An essay written by Park Ranger Michelle Franulovich was selected by Robert Redford's Sundance Publications to be included with a selection of other essays. The essay was originally submitted for a 2002 Winter Olympics publication & display called "Land that we Love." The essays were from a mix of professional writers and public employees that had written about their experiences. Michelle's essay was selected to be included along with several others from public agencies. Recently, Sundance Publications decided to reprint the book but change some of the essays. Only two of the orignal essays that had been written by public employees were kept and Michelle's was one of them. Several professionally written essays will be added, along with a personal foreword by Mr. Redford. The new book, as yet untitled, will be published in 2005, along with Michelle's essay, a photo and a brief bio that states "Park Ranger, Becharof and Alaska National Wildlife Refuges."
