Working together, refuge and village partners built a kiosk in a prominent riverfront location within the village. The exhibit incorporates six panels that explain the origins of the village, describe the local subsistence lifestyle, provide maps for orientation, and inform the public about current biological projects of the Fish and Wildlife Service and the mission of the Refuge.

The kiosk was recently observed and appreciated by hundreds of people during the biennial Gwich'in Gathering, an international, weekend-long reunion of Athabascan tribes of northeastern Alaska and neighboring Canada.

The kiosk was made possible through a nation-wide refuge fund which Congress appropriated to the Service to help inform the public about the National Wildlife Refuge System via small, cost-effective, informational kiosks.
