Journal Entry   Back KENAI: Refuge Manager Receives Conservation Award Alaska Region, May 1, 2004 Print Friendly Version Kenai National Wildlife Refuge Manager Robin West was presented the Alaska Conservationist Award for 2004 at the Safari Club International's annual banquet in Soldotna on May 1. The Kenai Peninsula Chapter of Safari Club International does not give out this recognition every year so Manager West was particularly honored to receive the recognition this year. The honor was given because of West's dedication to managing the Refuge to protect wildlife while working to provide quality public outdoor recreation experiences, and for work with youth as a volunteer hunter education instructor.
