Wetland Status in Alaska

The Alaska NWI status map (pdf, 4.6MB) indicates five possible status categories for each 1:63,360 scale map quadrangle in production. When you open this pdf in Adobe Reader, you can use the magnifying tool to select and magnify the part of the state you are interested in.

Wetland Inventory Map Status Categories

The Map in Progress status designates areas under production. The Paper Draft and Paper Final categories indicate that a hardcopy, paper map is available and can be ordered through our distribution center (address below.) The Digital in Progress, and Digital are categories where a final or draft map is being updated or converted into a digital product. This process normally indicates the existence of a final or draft map.
