Information Quality
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) required Department of Veterans Affairs to prepare guidelines to ensure the quality of information disseminated by the Department. This is in response to Section 515 requirements of the Treasury and General Government Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2001 (Public Law 106-554; H.R. 5658). Section 515 directed OMB to issue Government-wide guidelines that provided policy and procedural guidance to Federal agencies for issuing their own guidelines for ensuring the quality of disseminated information.
