Our office grants up to $30 million per year to the Sate of Alaska for fish, wildlife and habitat research, conservation, management, education and access and facility projects for fishing. Most of the grant programs are funded from Federal excise taxes on sport fishing equipment, motorboat fuels, arms, ammunition, and archery equipment.
