The Central Office for Assistive Services and Technology (COAST) serves
as a one-stop-shop, within the Conference and Service Center (CSC) for
disability related needs. Managers, employees and applicants of the Department
can obtain guidance, counsel and information on reasonable accommodations,
related services, issues and organizations for and about people with
disabilities.
The Center is under the Office of the Assistant Secretary for
Administration and Management's (OASAM's) Human Resource Center (HRC), and is
located on the 5th floor of the Frances Perkins Building (FPB), in
the C-5515 corridor.

- Sign Language Interpreting Services
- Technical Assistance on disability related issues
- Documents obtained in alternate formats
- Worksite Accessibility Assessments
- In-Service Trainings
- Limited Loaner Assistive Technology Repository
- Coordinate In-House and Off-Site Demonstrations of Assistive
Technology, Software and Hardware
- Coordinate Group Purchases of Accessible Technology
- Provide support to the Deaf Advisory Group (DAG) and the Disability
Advisory Council (DAC): Recognized Departmental employee organizations on
disability issues.
