Dozens of homes were torn apart.

Small homes were destroyed in the Sulphur Springs area. Three people were killed in Georgia when their home was swept away. Two other men were killed when a train derailed from downed trees lying on the tracks.

A man and a child were both killed when a small home was demolished in southeast Madison County.

One home and one mill were destroyed. One person may have died.

3 homes were destroyed.

Several outbuildings and cabins were blown to pieces. One man was killed by flying debris. The White Oak plantation sustained major damage and one woman was killed.

Many buildings were destroyed.

15 farms had buildings that were damaged or destroyed. 30 buildings were blown down. One man was killed in a wagon while riding in an open field.

3 homes were destroyed.
1884 2 19 1430 Calhoun-Cherokee**(continued into Floyd Co, Ga) F4 35.0 30 100 N of Jacksonville-Piedmont-Goshen
6 communities were devastated in Alabama. 10 people were killed near Piedmont and 14 were killed in Goshen.

Several homes were destroyed.

9 homes were destroyed and 15 people were injured in the Oxmoor community. 27 larger homes were leveled and 13 people were killed in Leeds

Homes and schools were destroyed.
1884 2 19 1130 Pickens**(started in Lowndes Co, Ms) F2 25.0 1 20 5 NE Crawford-8 S Columbus-15 NW Carrollton
Tenant homes were blown away on several plantations.
