Fees & Reservations

ENTRANCE FEES: Individuals 16 and older are $3.00 each, good for 7 days. Children 15 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.

* The receipt you receive for entrance fees at John Muir NHS is good for same day entrance at Muir Woods NM, and vice versa.

JOHN MUIR NHS/MUIR WOODS NM PASS:  Available to all visitors, this pass gives access to both parks for one year at a cost of $15.

America the Beautiful Annual Pass: This pass is available to all visitors and covers entrance fees to any National Park, National Forest, BLM, Corps of Engineer, Bureau of Reclamation and U.S. Fish and Wildlife units. This pass is good for 1 year and costs $80.

America the Beautiful Senior Pass: This pass is available to American citizens/permanent residents who are at least 62 years of age. This pass covers entrance fees to any National Park , National Forest, BLM, Corps of Engineer, Bureau of Reclamation and U.S. Fish and Wildlife units. This pass is good for life and costs $10.

FAQ about the America the Beautiful Senior Pass

America the Beautiful Access Pass: This pass is available to American Citizens/permanent residents who have a Permanent Life-Changing Disability (blind, deaf, amputee, lack of mobility, developmentally disabled). This pass covers entrance fees to any National Park, National Forest, BLM, Corps of Engineer, Bureau of Reclamation and U.S. Fish and Wildlife units. Proof of disability requires a note from a doctor stating said disability, or written proof that one is receiving monies from the federal government for said disability. This pass is good for life and is free.

Please remember that all rules and regulations for this pass are in effect to protect the disabled.

RESERVATIONS: Reservations are required for guided group tours of the Muir home for 10 or more people. Please allow us at least two weeks notice for group tours.

Reservations are not required for self-guided tours, but giving us notice of groups larger than 10 people would be appreciated.

 

GUIDED TOURS of the 1st floor of the Muir home are available to the general public Wednesday - Friday at 2 pm and weekends at 2 pm and 3 pm.

SELF-GUIDED TOURS of the Muir Home, surrounding orchards and the Martinez adobe are available to the general public Wednesday - Sunday, from 10 am to 5pm.
