Committee on Rules: Granted, by a non-record vote, a closed rule 
providing for consideration of H. Res. 279, providing for the expenses 
of certain committees of the House of Representatives in the One 
Hundred Eleventh Congress. The rule provides one hour of general debate 
in the House equally divided and controlled by the chair and ranking 
minority member of the Committee on House Administration. The rule 
provides that the amendment in the nature of a substitute recommended 
by the Committee on House Administration now printed in the resolution 
shall be considered as adopted. The rule waives all points of order 
against consideration of the resolution and provides that the 
resolution, as

amended, shall be considered as read. The rule provides one motion to 
recommit which may not contain instructions. Testimony was heard from

and reform the national service laws. The rule makes in order a motion
