Treacherous Terrain

Snow Removal Winter in Nevada can be swift and harsh, often without any forewarning. Some of the most treacherous terrain found in our state are in Sierras along the major roadways found winding through our mountains. NDOT is responsible for these major Sierra mountain highways. Listed below, caution should always be taken on these roadways, especially in the winter season.
