When traveling through construction zones, motorists should observe posted speed limits and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

I-15 Express Lane Project I-215 to Sahara Avenue
Contract 3355 - Capriati Construction Corp., Inc. - $21,516,293.69
Construction of a portion of I-15 from I-215 to the Sahara Interchange, approximately 5.72 miles. Widening from 8 to 10 lanes.
Project Start: Sep 15, 2008 Estimated Completion: Sep 2009
Twain Avenue southbound is closed to traffic under I-15 through May. Motorists are advised to use posted detours or personal alternate routes.

On I-15 northbound at I-215 traffic will shift 3 mainline lanes north bound one lane to the right through July. The left lane of the I-215 westbound to I-15 northbound will need to be closed. This closure will be in place until the concrete paving, and other improvements are made, at the south end of the project. Motorists are advised to use lane shifts as directed, use caution in the work zone.

I-15 Design Build Project - I-15 Widening from the I-15/US 95 Spaghetti Bowl Interchange to Craig Road
Contract 3313 - North Corridor Constructors - $240,000,000.00
Improve the I-15 corridor from the I-15/US 95 "Spaghetti Bowl" interchanges to Craig Rd. in North Las Vegas. The project's purpose is to relieve congestion and improve traffic flow in the I-15 corridor in response to continued growth in the Las Vegas Valley.
Project Start: September 2007 Estimated Completion: Fall 2010


Design Build North Project General

Bonanza Road at I-15 will be closed in each direction from Friday, June 5 at 9:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 9 for girder placement. Motorists are advised to detour using D Street or Washington Avenue.

D Street/Washington Avenue

The D Street/Washington Avenue On Ramp to I-15 southbound is closed through January 2010. Motorists are advised to use detours as posted.

Washington Avenue at I-15 will be closed in each direction from Monday, June 15 at 9:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m., Friday, June 19 for girder placement. Motorists are advised to detour using D Street or Bonanza Road.

Washington Avenue is reduced to one lane of travel in each direction at I-15 for several weeks for bridge construction. During this period various 5 to 10 minute closures may be in effect for pile work.Motorists are advised to use detours as posted. Use of personal alternate routes is advised.

The Washington Avenue/D Street exit ramp from I-15 northbound is closed through the Summer of 2009.

Lake Mead Boulevard

The I-15 southbound exit to Lake Mead Boulevard is closed through September 2009. Motorists are advised to use alternate ramps at Cheyenne Avenue or Washington Avenue.

Lake Mead Boulevard at I-15 is reduced to one lane of travel in each direction through November 2009. Motorists are advised to use lane shifts as directed.

Both on ramps from Lake Mead Boulevard to I-15 southbound will be closed from 9:00 p.m., Sunday, May 17 through 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 19 for ramp reconfiguration. Motorists are advised to use detours as posted.

Cheyenne Avenue

The I-15 northbound Cheyenne Avenue Off and On-ramps are closed. The I-15 Cheyenne Avenue Off Ramp will be closed until Tuesday, May 26 and the I-15 northbound Cheyenne Avenue on-ramp will be closed through July 19.Motorists are advised to use Lake Mead Boulevard or Craig Road to access I-15 northbound.

Craig Road

Construction continues between Cheyenne Avenue and Craig Road. Motorists are advised to use caution in the work zones and use traffic controls as directed.



Blue Diamond Widening Project 2B
Project Start: December 2007 - Estimated Completion: June 2009
Contract 3324 - Contractor - Road and Highway Builders LLC.. - $52,222,222.00
SR 160 construct a new 8 lane roadway with a new grade separation over the UPRR at the existing grade grossing and realigning Jones Boulevard south of the current intersection.
On State Route SR-160 traffic was moved to the newly completed section on the north half of the road at the railroad crossing with one lane of travel in each direction. This move is required to allow for construction of the south portion of SR-160 from the Decatur to the Rainbow Blvd. This traffic configuration is expected to remain in place until the completion of all Contract work; in late May/early June 2009.

Blue Diamond Widening Improvements
Mountain's Edge LLC will widen SR 160 to a four- lane highway between Rainbow Blvd and Durango Drive by adding one lane in each direction, including additonal safety measures, modifying existing traffic signals, and turning lane and storm drain improvements.
Contractor: Cedco
Project Start: July 2008 Estimated Completion: Summer 2009
Mountain's Edge LLC will widen and make road improvements to SR 160, Blue Diamond Road through the summer of 2009. The project will widen SR 160 to a four-lane highway between Rainbow Boulevard and Durango Drive by adding one lane in each direction, including additonal safety measures, modifying existing traffic signals, turning lane and storm drain improvements. Work hours for the project are weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Motorists are advised to use traffic controls as directed, extreme caution in the work zone is advised.

I-515 Galleria Mall Interchange Henderson - On I-515 from Russell Road to Lake Mead Parkway and from Boulder Highway from Stephanie to Stufflebeam/Galleria
Contract 2007-86-0024 - Frehner Construction Co. Inc. - $66.3 million
Project Start: April 2008 Estimated Completion: Summer 2009
Marks Street and Galleria Drive in Henderson are reduced to one lane in each direction with a center turn lane. Cosures are in effect evenings from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. each evening. Motorists are advised to use lane shifts as directed.

On I-515 between Auto Show Drive and Russell Road various lane closures may be in effect in each direction with speed reduction to 55 miles per hour. Motorists are advised to use traffic controls and lane shifts as directed.

Sunset Road at I-515/US 95 will be closed in each direction Sunday through Thursday evenings from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. through May 12 for bridge work. Motorists are advised to posted detours.

US 95 Widening Project from 2 miles south of Searchlight to SR 163 (Laughlin Highway)
Contract 3270 - Road and Highway Builders LLC - $50,253,564.00
Project Start: Aug 11, 2008 - Summer 2009
Speed limit in the workzone is 55 mph 24 hours a day from the Laughlin Turnoff to just south of Searchlight. Speed limit will be enforced.

Saint Rose Parkway to eight lanes in Henderson
District Contract 3361- Southern Nevada Paving - $6,583,366.05
Construction of widening a portion of Saint Rose Parkway to eight lanes in Henderson from Gillespie Street to Seven Hills Drive/Spencer Avenue and from Coronado Center Drive to I-215 (Phase 2B)
Project Start: March 2009 Estimated Completion: August 2009
On Saint Rose Parkway existing median islands in the area of the Pecos Curve will be removed and with excavation in the median on Saint Rose Parkway near Bermuda, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Motorists are advised to use traffic controls as directed.

US 95 FAST Installation Martin Luther King to Craig Road
Contract: 3326 - Transcore ITS LLC - $8,642,467.26
Notice tor Proceed: May 2007 - Completion: October 2008
No impacts on traffic at this time.

NDOT MAINTENANCE ACTIVITY:
Sunday evening May 10 the I-515southbound from Flamingo Road Eastbound will be closed from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Monday evening, May 11 the I-515 northbound on and off ramps at Boulder Highway will be closed from 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

Tuesday evening, May 12 the I-515 southbound on and off ramps at Charleston Boulevard will be closed from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Wednesday evening, May 13 the I-515 northbound on and off ramps at Eastern Avenue will be closed from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Thursday evening, May 14 the I-515 southbound on and off ramps at Las Vegas Boulevard will be closed from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Motorists are advised to use personal alternate routes or posted detours.



Utility work to affect street traffic on Tropicana Avenue between McCarran International Airport and the Strip Through September 2009
Clark County Department of Aviation is installing new underground utility lines beneath Tropicana Avenue for a 1.6-mile stretch of Tropicana that begins east of Interstate 15 (behind the New York-New York hotel-casino) and ends near the intersection of Tropicana and Paradise Road through September 2009. Tropicanna Avenue will have 24-hour restrictions with two lanes of travel in each direction.Motorists are advised to use lane shifts as directed, personal alternate routes are advised to avoid the construction zone.

The O'Callaghan/Tillman Bridge - Construction Delays
Due to construction activities and public safety, traffic on US 93 at the Hoover Dam may be reduced to single lane in each direction in the evening hours. Motorists are advised to observe traffic controls and use extreme caution in the work zone.

Travel Delays on North US 93 from MP 2 to MP 17, South of Hoover Dam

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is preparing to begin construction on North US 93, from Mile Post (MP) 2 to MP 17. This project will add two new lanes creating a four-lane divided highway that will connect to the Hoover Dam Bypass, which is currently under construction. Additionally, three unique wildlife crossing bridges, emergency escape ramps, a new trailhead at milepost 4.1, and a new overlook at milepost 13.5 will be built. Improvements will be made to upgrade the existing overlook at milepost 12.7.
