DFEC District 6 is offering the Injury Compensation Specialist Basic Training Course for Fiscal Year 2007. The course is of three days duration and is designed especially for those employees who process workers' compensation claims within their agencies. The course objective is to develop the beginner's skills and improve existing skills. This class will be held in Jacksonville, Florida at the address printed below.
There is no tuition fee, and the Department of Labor will provide the training materials for each student. Travel and per diem expenses are the responsibility of the employing agency. Classes are limited to 20 persons. The chart below shows the dates of each class.
OWCP can also provide half-day seminars to instruct managers and supervisors on their responsibilities under the Federal Employees' Compensation Act. Requests for these classes are on a first come, first served basis and should be addressed to the attention of the District Director.
