Genus Ilyocryptus

The Genus Ilyocryptus is a group of very small waterfleas including just 3 Great Lakes species. Fine features of the postabdomen are used to distinguish among species - necessitating use of a high-powered light microscope at a minimum.

Anus on dorsal margin of postabdomen with 5-7 preanal spines. To 0.8mm.
