Things To Know Before You Come
 

Vehicle Parking & Directions: Free parking is available on W Dominick Street or on James Street on the Fort Stanwix side of the street. Parking is also available on the weekdays in the Fort Stanwix Parking Garage on James Street.
***NOTE: The Fort Stanwix Parking Garage on James Street is owned by the City of Rome and not Fort Stanwix National Monument. The garage is not open on weekends. Parking is validated by Fort Stanwix National Monument. Large vehicles will not fit into this parking area.***

Bus Parking, Loading, & Unloading:
Buses should load and unload at the designated area on the east side of James Street and the north side of Erie Boulevard. Parking in these areas is permitted for 10 minutes only as it is also used for accessibility purposes. Buses may be parked in the lot of the Rome Historical Society, on E Park Street, between loading and unloading.

Logistics: Much of the park is self-guided. Information on guided tours, program times and lengths, and locations can be found on our website or at the visitor center information desk on the day of your visit.

Restrooms: Restrooms are located in the visitor center and inside the fort as well, all are handicapped accessible.

Park Brochures: Brochures are available for free at the visitor center. They can also be downloaded by clicking here.

Cameras: Photography, including videos, is permitted in all park buildings EXCEPT the during the audio visual/presentations inside the visitor center.

Tours: We welcome all groups to visit the park, however if you are not planning to self-guide or wish to have a special program (other than those on our regular schedule) please contact our Program Coordinator by clicking on the highlighted link or by calling 315-338-7730.

Lost and Found: Located at the visitor center information desk.
