Additional ways to contact our office:
e-Spotter and the Spotter Network

eSpotter is a system to facilitate the submission of spotter reports online. The system is being developed to enhance and increase timely & accurate online spotter reporting and communications between spotters and their local weather forecast offices. The use of the system is currently available for trained spotters and emergency managers.

WFO Amarillo is the first office in Southern Region to incorporate the e-Spotter system into operations!

The SpotterNetwork brings storm spotters, storm chasers, coordinators and public servants together in a seamless network of information. It provides accurate position data of spotters and chasers for coordination/reporting and provides ground truth to public servants engaged in the protection of life and property.

This allows both hams with APRS or non-hams with mobile internet access and GPS tracking to provide position information to the NWS for display in radar analysis software.
