Building A Renewable Energy Manufacturing Industry:

Renewable energy is is manufactured energy. According to REPP analysis, 70% of the labor required to produce wind and solar energy is in the manufacturing of the components. REPP developed the first analysis to identify the industry sectors and the location of the firms in those sectors.

Wind Turbine Development - Location of Manufacturing Activity

Solar PV Development - Location of Economic Activity

STATE REPORTS

Following our initial analysis, REPP added Geothermal and Biomass Electric technologies and developed a series of State Reports. These Reports showed how a national renewable energy development would potentially benefit the state’s economy. In addition, REPP provided the location of firms to the county level. REPP can also provide a detailed list of the firms active in the industrial sectors for states or localities.
