  Substance Abuse for Behavioral Health

Substance abuse is a challenge that impacts all segments of a community. The key to prevention and treatment is a healthcare delivery system that offers quality and integration of services. The California Area offers support for both youth and adults who struggle with substance abuse.

Youth Adult Treatment Resources

Access to American Indian Recovery (AAIR) program - AAIR is a statewide substance abuse treatment and juvenile recovery support program administered by the California Rural Indian Health Board, Inc.

California Access to Recovery Effort (CARE) program – CARE is a pilot program in Sacramento and Los Angeles Counties targeted at youth 12 through 20 years of age who want help with overcoming drug/alcohol abuse. New funding has expanded CARE services to the counties of Butte, Shasta and Tehama, and target methamphetamine-using youth.
