photo - Steven Lorenzo

Steven Lorenzo, of Tampa, was sentenced in the Middle District of Florida to 200 years imprisonment for knowingly and intentionally distributing GHB to nine men without their knowledge and with the intent to commit a crime of violence, including sexual assault. The assaults occurred from February 2000 to May 2004. A federal jury convicted Lorenzo in November 2005, after a thirteen day trial. Lorenzo received the maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment on all ten counts for which he was convicted. The jury found Lorenzo guilty of drug facilitated crimes of violence against ten victims (to include two homicide victims). This investigation was conducted by the DEA Miami Field Division Tampa District Office and the Tampa Police Department.
