Landscape Irrigation Professionals

Landscape irrigation professionals include designers, auditors, or installation and maintenance professionals that are certified to implement water efficiency best practices.

Why Join?

  • Distinguish yourself from the competition. All WaterSense landscape irrigation professional partners are listed on the Web site. This will make it easy for consumers to find certified professionals in their area.

  • Demonstrate your commitment to water efficiency by using the WaterSense partner logo.

  • Access tools and resources that can help you promote your services and your partnership with WaterSense.

Am I Eligible?

Landscape irrigation professionals can become WaterSense partners when they are certified through a WaterSense labeled certification program.

To be eligible to join, you must submit proof of up-to-date certification:

  • Irrigation Association's Certified Irrigation Designer, Certified Irrigation Contractor, Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor or Certified Golf Irrigation Auditor: Certificate for 2008 or 2009, or renewal.

  • North Coast Water Conservation Group's Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper: Certificate dated January 2008 forward.

How Do I Join?

  1. Complete and sign a Certified Professionals Partnership Agreement (writeable PDF) (3 pp, 116K, About PDF) with EPA.

  2. Submit proof that you are certified through a WaterSense labeled certification program (copy of your certificate or renewal card, depending on certification—see Am I Eligible for more details).

  3. Submit your documents to watersense@epa.gov or fax to (703) 841-1440.

How Can I Promote My Partnership?

  • Feature the WaterSense partner logo in association with your name on Web sites and in printed materials.

  • Use the irrigation tool kit to promote your partnership with WaterSense and water-efficient irrigation practices.

  • Help spread the word about WaterSense, add the WaterSense widget to your Web site
