Recovery Act Funding: State Clean Diesel Grant Program
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 provides $88 million in new funding to support clean diesel grant and loan programs administered by states and the District of Columbia. These programs are designed to achieve significant reductions in diesel emissions and maximize job creation and preservation. This program is referred to as the Recovery Act Funding for the State Clean Diesel Grant Program. EPA's National Clean Diesel Campaign has awarded $86.5 million for clean diesel activities to 49 states and the District of Columbia.
A separate competitive announcement for the FY 2009 National Diesel Emissions Reduction Program Appropriation funds will be issued later in 2009.
