Volunteers are an integral part of the park. You can work with school children, preserve the tall grass prairie, conduct water quality monitoring, research topics, assist with special events as well as light maintenance duties and clerical projects. There are many ways to participate in the volunteer program. Opportunities range from one time activities to long term projects.
Homestead National Monument of America welcomes artists to participate in our first year of the Artist-in-Residence Program, where they can share their inspiration and talent with visitors this year, live and work at the monument, and interpret the park's natural and cultural resources through their unique creative vision.
