Overview:

The mission of the Office of Smart Growth is to provide direct technical and financial assistance to local governments in the areas of land use planning and growth management.

In the 2000 General Assembly, Colorado's legislature passed into law HB 00-1427 (24-32-3201 CRS, et seq.), which created the Office of Smart Growth in the Colorado Department of Local Affairs.
