Successful applications: This project is new, with no known applications to date. National Deployment Statement National Deployment Goal Use PEDSAFE in the development and implementation of State and local Pedestrian Safety Action Plans in support of the States’ Strategic Highway Safety Plan. National Deployment Status PEDSAFE is being used by State and local agencies in the development and implementation of their Pedestrian Safety Action Plans. PEDSAFE is being used by State and local agencies in the development and implementation of their Pedestrian Safety Action Plans. PEDSAFE is being used as a primary reference document during of the Planning and Designing for Pedestrian Safety workshops and Road Safety Audit for Pedestrians workshops. During 2008, 45 workshops were conducted for more than 1500 engineers, planners, law enforcement, public health professionals, and advocates. Based upon the MRT Phases and Tracking document the deployment is at Phase 3. More than 10, 000 hard copies of the PEDSAFE guide and CD were disseminated national with special emphasis on the focus States and Cities. PEDSAFE was incorporated into the national template for the development of Pedestrian Safety Action Plans PEDSAFE is being discussed in the Pedestrian Safety, RSA, and Intersection Safety, and other workshops and included in National conferences and meeting.
