CMS Releases IPPS Proposed Rule for FY 2010 On May 1, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released proposed policies and payment rates for the Medicare Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) for fiscal year (FY) 2010. Under the proposed rule, it is estimated that there will be a decrease of $979 million in combined operating and capital payments to hospitals. The Society’s health policy staff is reviewing the ruling to determine its likely impact on cardiac arrhythmia services. Learn more » |
