AIR FORCE

TRW Inc., Carson, Calif., is being awarded a $284,686,716 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for the Distributed Mission Training Operations and Integration Program through April 16, 2005. The contractor will establish, operate, and maintain a networked real-time distributed training system. This program will allow the Air Force to operate a training system that will allow personnel at geographically separate locations to participate in exercises. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. At this time, $2,389,889 of the contract funds have been obligated. There were four firms solicited and four proposals received. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-98/D-2061, P00002).

ITT Industries, Colorado Springs, Colo., was awarded on April 14, a $15,000,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for research and development through April 13, 2005 in the area of ultra-wideband sources and antennas for communication systems. This effort will include source design and development, antenna design and development, materials physics, and advanced concept studies. At this time, $166,365 of the contract funds have been obligated. There were ten proposals received. Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, N.M., is the contracting activity (F29601-00/D-0074).

NAVY

Trident Systems, Inc.,* Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a ceiling priced $48,976,740 five-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide technical support in the development of the Human Centered Design Environment (HCDE) as it relates to the SC-21 Science and Technology Manning Affordability Initiative. This initiative has adopted Interchange as a major component in the HCDE. Interchange is the commercial version of MultiView. Work will be performed in Fairfax, Va. (80%) and Johnstown, Pa. (20%), and is expected to be completed by April 2005. Contract funds in the amount of $340,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was procured under the Small Business Innovative Development Act. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Va., is the contracting activity (N00178-00-D-3007).

Pro Construction, Inc., Jacksonville, N.C., is being awarded an $8,191,637 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of Tarawa Terrace 2 Elementary School, at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. This contract contains options, which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $8,734,837. Work will be performed in Jacksonville, N.C., and is expected to be completed by October 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 63 proposals solicited and six offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N62470-94-C-4262).

Lockheed Martin Aircraft Center, Greenville, S.C., is being awarded a requirements contract with an estimated value of $7,758,263 for the Depot Level Maintenance Support for approximately eight Navy and Air Force C-9/DC-9 aircraft (4 Navy C-9; 4 Air Force DC-9). Work will be performed in Greenville, S.C., and is expected to be completed by September 2000. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured by an electronic request for proposal and three offers were received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-00-D-0279).

R. A. Burch Construction Company, Inc.*, Ramona, Calif., is being awarded a $5,363,374 firm-fixed-price contract for the demolition of an existing control tower and construction of a new 43,885 meter high/902 square meter air traffic control tower at Travis Air Force Base. Work will be performed in Fairfield, Calif, and is expected to be completed by November 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 44 proposals solicited and three offers received. The Engineering Field Activity West, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, San Bruno, Calif., is the contracting activity (N62474-99-C-6073).

ARMY

CB and I Constructors, Inc., Norcross, Ga., is being awarded a $6,193,000 firm fixed price contract to design, build and replacement of existing 50 year old high pressure and high temperature American Society of Mechanical Engineer's pressure vessel code qualified jet engine inlet ductwork, with newly designed fabricated and welded-in-place ductwork. Work will be performed at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn. and is expected to be completed by June 2, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 186 bids solicited on Feb. 12, 1999, and 3 bids were received. The Mobile District, Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Ala. is the contracting activity (DACA01-00-C-0012).

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Akron, Ohio is being awarded a $5,082,700 firm fixed price contract for 35,000 each T107 track shoes for the M88 vehicle. Work will be performed at St. Marys, Ohio and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 5 bids solicited on April 23, 1998, and 2 bids were received. The Tank Armament and Automotive Command, Warren, Mich. is the contracting activity (DAAE07-98-D-T041).
