TRICARE MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY

United Concordia Companies Inc., Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $1,805,283,269 firm-fixed-price, requirements contract for the TRICARE Dental Program. This contract also provides for five, one-year options. Proposals were solicited from 43 offerors and six acceptable proposals were received. The TRICARE Management Activity, Aurora, Colo., is the contracting activity (MDA906-00-D-0002).

ARMY

United Defense LP, Ground Systems Division, York, Pa., is being awarded a $9,000,000 increment as part of a $24,088,164 modification to cost-plus-incentive-fee contract DAAE07-97-C-X001, for engineering and manufacturing development of the Grizzly vehicle system. The Grizzly system breaches a full-width, clear lane to allow maneuver force mobility through minefields, rubble, tank ditches, wire, and other obstructions. Work will be performed in York, Pa. (80%), and Santa Clara, Calif. (20%), and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 13, 1996. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity.

Chamberlain Manufacturing Corp., Scranton, Pa., is being awarded a $17,144,534 modification to firm-fixed-price, multi-year contract DAAA09-99-C-0064, to exercise the option for 163,723 projectile (M107) metal parts in support of the 155 mm projectile (M107). Work will be performed in Scranton, Pa., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 28, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were three bids solicited on April 22, 1999, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity.

Kalmar RT Center LLC, San Antonio, Texas, is being awarded a $14,135,427 delivery order amount as part of a firm-fixed-price, requirements type contract for a wheeled material handling vehicle with Department of the Army technical manuals, interactive equipment technical manuals, forklift kit and arctic cold weather kit contractor field technical service, contractor new equipment training, special tools and test equipment. The Rough Terrain Container Handler (RTCH) will have a 53,000-pound capacity and will be used for material handling, stacking, for moving equipment, and can operate on beaches, rough terrain and unimproved surfaces. Work will be performed in Ljungby, Sweden, and is expected to be completed by May 30, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 1, 2000. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-00-D-T021).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

PYA/Monarch, Inc., Atlanta, Ga., is being awarded an estimated $18,250,000 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for food and beverage support under the Prime Vendor program. One hundred fifty-two proposals were solicited and six were received. Work is expected to be completed by April 18, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-00-D-2966).

Sysco Foodservices of Seattle, Kent, Wash., is being awarded an estimated $12,280,000 firm-fixed-price indefinite-quantity contract for full line food distributor for Washington land-based activities. Eighty-nine proposals were solicited and six were received. Work is expected to be completed by April 19, 2001. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-00-D-2956).
