Region 6 Environmental Management System

An EMS is an approach to evaluating activities of a business or organization that impact the environment, then planning and taking action to reduce those impacts.
 
With an EMS, the environmental impacts of a facility become the responsibility of all employees and managers. EMS promotes continual improvement.
EMS looks beyond legal requirements to impacts like energy use, carbon dioxide emissions, and product purchasing.
 
We will be adding links for access to specific information on EPA Region 6's EMS implementation plans, as well as other resources.
