This completed restoration - scrape and berm -  will provide valuable habitat for migratory waterfowl and shorebirds.

This project involved the restoration and enhancement of 5 acres of wetland habitat through the construction of a berm across a drainage swale and the excavation of 3 wetland scrapes.  The site had been drained and intensively farmed over the past century.  Located just a few miles from the bay of Green Bay the site will provide valuable habitat for migratory waterfowl and shorebirds.  The owners of the property are interested in establishing permanent grassland cover on 50 acres of cropland that surround the wetland area.
