...August 2008 Climate Summary...
It was another month of normal to below normal temperatures and generally normal to well below normal precipitation. This was the second consecutive month with below normal precipitation, although precipitation is still well above normal for the year. Springfield, MO had the 6th driest month on record with only 0.60 inches of rainfall, which is still 16.90 inches above normal for the year!
