A strong upper level storm system brought snowy conditions to the region for the end of January. Since
the atmosphere is not able to hold much moisture at very cold temperatures, snow accumulations were
limited to one to two inches over the majority of the region. A few locations over extreme western Missouri
saw three to five inches of snow.
