DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY

DynCorp Information Systems, LLC, Chantilly, VA was awarded a fixed price letter contract on Dec. 21, 1999. Definitization was completed today for a total value of $29,000,000. The requirement is for the Defense Message System (DMS) Transition Hub (DTH). Contract life is for a one-year base period with four one-year options. DynCorp Information Systems LLC, a large business, will provide services in support of the legacy messaging systems operation as well as transitional message interface with DMS users. This includes leasing, maintenance, engineering logistics support for the DTHs located at Wahiawa, Hawaii, Hancock (Syracuse), N.Y., and Fort Detrick, Md. A fourth DTH at Pirmasens, Germany is maintained under a separate contract, but this contract provides limited technical support for that facility. The requirement was solicited and awarded under other than full and open competition. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Scott AFB, IL is the contracting activity (DCA200-00-C-5010).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

PYA/Monarch, Inc., Lexington, S.C., is being awarded a $27,500,000 modification to firm-fixed-price requirements indefinite quantity contract for prime vendor food and beverage support. There were 133 proposals solicited and five received. Work will be performed in Walterboro, S.C., and is expected to be completed by January 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-01-D-2964).

Lowry Computer Products Inc.*, Brighton, Mich., is being awarded a $7,874,272 firm-fixed-price contract for assembly cables. There were two proposals solicited and two received. Work is expected to be completed by January 2002. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Richmond, Richmond, Va., is the contracting activity (SP0400-01-D-9404).

NAVY

Northrop Grumman Corp., Melville, N.Y., is being awarded a $22,475,000 firm-fixed-price contract to fabricate, assemble, inspect, test, and deliver five Lightweight Configuration, Low-Rate-Initial-Production (LRIP) AN/SPQ-9B Radar System units and one (1) AN/SPQ-9B Engineering Change Kit for conversion from heavyweight to lightweight system configuration. The AN/SPQ-9B is a multi-mode X-Band narrow beam pulse Doppler radar that detects all known and projected sea skimming missiles at the horizon. Work will be performed in Melville, N.Y. (60%) and Baltimore, Md. (40%), and is expected to be completed by March 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-01-C-5244).

AIR FORCE

All World Language Consultants, Rockville, Md., is being awarded an $18,584,220 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for modern standard Arabic interpretation and translation services for Force Protection/Security Forces troops in Southwest Asia. The work will be performed at various locations in Saudi Arabia and other countries. There were three proposals received. Solicitation began June 2000; negotiations were completed January 2001. The 20th Contracting squadron, Shaw AFB, S.C., is the contracting activity (F38601-01/F-6002).
