EmCon 2009—2nd International Conference on Occurrence, Fate, Effects, and Analysis of Emerging Contaminants in the Environment

The U.S. Geological Survey and Colorado State University are co-sponsoring EmCon2009-2nd International Conference on Occurrence, Fate, Effects, and Analysis of Emerging Contaminants in the Environment in Fort Collins, Colorado, on August 4-7, 2009. The conference will present the most recent developments and findings concerning the occurrence, fate, effects, and analysis of emerging contaminants in the environment. Topics presented at the conference will include:

  • Analytical Methods for Detecting Emerging Contaminants in Environmental Media
  • Aquatic and Terrestrial Effects of Emerging Contaminants in the Environment
  • Fate and Transport of Emerging Contaminants in Surface Water and Ground Water
  • Emerging Contaminant Sources and Source Pathways
  • Policy and Prevention Issues Associated with Emerging Contaminants in the Environment

Abstracts are due February 1, 2009.
