GovEnergy 2008 featured several sessions outlining energy-related laws and regulations and how agencies are working to meet Federal energy requirements. Videos, presentations, and manuscripts from these sessions are now available.

Federal laws and regulations set multiple energy management requirements for Federal agencies spanning energy efficiency, renewable energy, water conservation, and alternative fuel use. This section outlines the latest Federal energy management authorities through:

  • Requirements by Subject provides a basic overview of regulatory requirements by topic area. This is a good starting point for a summary of authorities and requirements.
  • Requirements by Regulation offers an in-depth look at individual laws and regulations. In most cases, the actual text of the law is provided to give a comprehensive and definitive view of requirements.
