Why Attend?
You cannot afford to not be a part of the 2009 AISES Conference and Career Fair!

  • The AISES National Conference attracts the nation's brightest American Indian students, as well as professionals in the fields of science, engineering and technology.
  • During an exciting 3 days you can listen to dynamic speakers, learn from panel discussions, take part in workshops, and participate in a Career Fair.
  • The Career Fair offers corporations, federal agencies, and universities a unique forum for recruiting American Indian students and professionals eager to learn about career opportunities, graduate school, and potential internships.
  • Students and professionals alike will benefit from sessions provided by top trainers.
  • There are 1800 participants and 200+ exhibit booths expected to be in Portland.
  • Join AISES in honoring the 2009 Professionals of the Year as well as hundreds of AISES scholarship winners and their benefactors.
  • Everyone gains when ideas are shared.
     

Call to Artists
This year's theme is “The Difference is You,” highlighting the importance of green practices in science, engineering, and Native Communities. Artwork should be original work created specifically for the 2009 AISES National Conference. Artwork may be multicolor but should easily convert to one color. Preferred formats are: .pdf, .jpg, or .gif files. Please include the artist's contact information, including phone number(s), mailing address, and email address. Artwork should be submitted digitally for consideration, no later than close of business June 5, 2009. AISES will provide an honorarium of $200 to the artist whose work is selected.

The artwork will be used on National Conference materials including the Conference program, t-shirts, conference bags, and other materials. Artwork will appear on the print materials for the conference (Registration Brochure and the Conference Program) and the artist’s bio will be included as well. AISES will provide Conference bags and t-shirts to the artist for their portfolio.
