HSDB is peer-reviewed by a Scientific Review Panel (SRP), a committee of experts in the major subject areas within the data bank's scope. The symposium is part of the commemoration of the 75th meeting of the SRP. The symposium includes presentations on the history, current use, and an analysis of HSDB data. The symposium also includes a discussion panel of experts from government and non-government organizations exploring future opportunities for HSDB data enhancement.
