Attention UMLS Licensees: The 2006AB edition of the UMLS Knowledge Sources 
is available for downloading. Information follows. 

*****2006AB Statistics: The Metathesaurus now contains more than 1.3 
million concepts and 6 million   unique concept names from more than 100 
different source vocabularies.   In the 2006AB release, 18 source 
vocabularies were updated, including   SNOMED CT, MedDRA, Gene Ontology, 
and LOINC. 

*****MetamorphoSys: 
- MRCXT Builder and RRF Browser documentation is now included in Section 6 
of the UMLS documentation. 
- MRCXT Builder enables users to generate a MRCXT.RRF file from the 
MRHIER.RRF and MRCONSO.RRF files in a customized subset. 
- RRF Browser allows users to search and display any vocabulary in RRF 
format, including their own customized MetamorphoSys subset.

DVDs
 As always, the production and mailing of the DVDs for those who have 
requested them lags the release by about 15 days. Those who have previously 
requested the DVD will automatically be sent a 2006AB DVD. If you want to 
request the DVDs of the releases, send an e-mail to
