              2008 International Release available for download from the UMLSKS.

All: The native files of the SNOMED CT January 31, 2008 International Release are now available for download from the UMLSKS (http://umlsks.nlm.nih.gov). The download consists of: SNOMED_CT_Essential_20080131.zip (134M) Contains the International Release Essential Resources including SNOMED CT terminology, cross maps, subsets, documentation, and other resources. Includes the User Guide (capabilities, content, principles used to model the terminology, and uses from a content perspective); the Technical Implementation Guide (guidelines and advice about the design of applications using SNOMED CT, terminology services, entering and storing information, and migration of legacy information); and the Technical Reference Guide (reference material for the current release of SNOMED CT including file layouts, field sizes, required values and their meanings, and high level data diagrams). SNOMED_CT_Optional_20080131.zip (2.9M) Contains the International Release Option Resources including the ICD-9-CM cross map, and US drug extensions. Users must have an active UMLS Metathesaurus license and valid UMLSKS log on account to access these files. See "SNOMED CT® " under "Downloads" on the left hand side of the UMLSKS homepage.
