Laundry and Low Tide

Curtis Watkins, NOAA Teacher at Sea

rocky shore at low tide

Rocky shore at low tide.

Sunday started with a gray overcast sky. It burned off by midmorning to show off the brilliant mountain peaks of the island. We returned to Totem Park to see the rocky shore during the low tide. The main plan for today is to return to the ship and to do laundry. We've really gone with the flow and have had to be flexible because of change of plans brought about by meeting new people presenting us with new possibilities. Just think, I thought this was going to be just a 12 day boat ride. Found out that tomorrow will be taken up doing near shore work. I wonder what that's going to involve.
