This page provides information on current and upcoming SBRP funding opportunities, as well as basic information for those interested in applying for SBRP grants.
Multiproject Program Grants (P42) - Grants made under the SBRP will be for coordinated, multi-project, multi- and interdisciplinary programs. The objective remains to establish and maintain a unique Program that links and integrates biomedical research with related engineering, hydrogeologic, and ecologic components. Grant awards are made in response to request for applications (RFA). The 2008 Request for Applications (RFA) was released on October 1, 2008 and closes April 15, 2009.
Individual Research Grants (R01) -
The Individual Research Project Program is designed to address specific issues that complement the multi-project research programs, meet high priority research needs of the national Superfund Program or tackle issues of emerging concern. Grants awarded under this mechanism will be for discrete, single projects. Grant applications are solicited and awards made in response to Request for Applications (RFA). The 2007 RFA was released on November 9, 2007 and closed February 16, 2008. The application deadline has passed for the 2007 Request for Applications (RFA) for the Individual Research (R01) grants.
