About
What services does this resource provide?
The Biodefense and Emerging Infections Research Resources Repository (BEI) acquires, authenticates, produces, stores, and distributes a broad range of organisms and reagents and information to the scientific community to facilitate research and product development. The majority of these materials are for studying
Category A, B, and C priority pathogens and emerging infectious disease agents
. The Repository also stores and distribute reagents produced by DMID-sponsored research and research service programs.
Available materials are found on the
Repository web site
(non-Government link).
The Repository also actively solicits
recommendations from researchers for materials to acquire and/or produce
(non-Government link) and encourages members of the community to deposit reagents from the community.
