U.S. Labor Secretary Elaine L. Chao reacts
to Senate vote on 'card check'
WASHINGTON — U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao today made the following statement about the vote in the U.S. Senate on legislation that would undercut the ability of workers to vote in secret ballot elections:
"The Senate's vote is a victory for workers who value the protection and dignity of private balloting and the basic right to vote on labor contracts."
