Accommodations
Providing job accommodations for people with disabilities is often easier and cheaper than is commonly believed, and the professional contributions and commitment of people with disabilities in the workplace far outweigh the cost of these accommodations. Find helpful resources and information on job accommodations.
- Job Accommodation Network (JAN) - JAN, a service of the Office of Disability Employment Policy, is a toll-free information and referral service on job accommodations for people with disabilities; on the employment provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act; and on resources for technical assistance, funding, education, and services related to the employment of people with disabilities. In addition, JAN analyzes trends and statistical data related to the technical assistance it provides.
More information about the findings from the JAN research on the costs and benefits of accommodations (and a copy of the complete report) is available here.
