Secretary Salazar to Hold Press Conference To Highlight Upcoming Cherry Blossom Festival

Washington, D.C. - Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar will hold a press conference Thursday, March 26 to highlight the 2009 National Cherry Blossom Festival, an annual 16-day celebration that is expected to draw more than 1 million visitors to the nation's capital.

The Department of the Interior's National Park Service joins with the National Cherry Blossom Festival, Inc., the District of Columbia and a number of other partners to host the annual event, which includes a variety of events from March 26 through April 12. These include the National Cherry Blossom Festival Family Day and Opening Ceremony on March 28 and the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade on April 4.
