BACKGROUND

The purpose of this Transmittal Notice is to forward a copy of the Indian Health Manual (IHM), Part 5, Chapter 20 "Health Professions Support," which establishes Indian Health Service (IHS) policies and procedures regarding the IHS Scholarship Program and other health professions programs.

Indian Health Service Circular #99-02, "Employment of Health Professionals Under the Indian Health Care Improvement Act," Special General Memorandum #93-2, "IHS Policy-Placement of IHS Scholarship Recipients Under Public Law 94-437, Title 1 Section 104, and all previous policy statements regarding the Same subject matter.

MANUAL MAINTENANCE

Insert the attached copy of the IHM 5-20, including the Chapter, Table of Contents, and Manual Exhibits and B, after IHM 5-19. Log and file this TN in sequential order.
