The Training Program is an interdisciplinary five year program consisting of two years of course work and three years of doctoral dissertation research which leads to the Ph.D. degree in Environmental Health Sciences in the Columbia School of Public Health. The program combines public health and basic biomedical skills for solving complex problems in environmental health related to three specific areas:

  • Respiratory disorders
  • Cancer
  • Neurotoxicology/neurodegenerative disease

In addition to the School of Public Health, faculty from the College of Physicians and Surgeons and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences participate in the program.
