Department of Environmental HealthMolecular Epidemiology in Children’s Environmental Health Training Program The Training Program in Molecular Epidemiology in Children’s Environmental Health is interdepartmental and interdisciplinary. Participating training faculty are from three interactive departments: the Departments of Environmental Health, Pediatrics, and Molecular Genetics. The program provides training at three levels: the predoctoral student seeking the Ph.D., the post doctoral trainee with a Ph.D. and the M.D. postdoctoral resident/fellow in pediatrics or obstetrics seeking a M.S. degree in epidemiology. The program focuses on the development of a knowledge base to undertake epidemiological and clinical studies using molecular markers of exposure, effect and susceptibility; and to examine the impact of environmental exposures on complex diseases in children’s health. The program will develop research skills in pediatric epidemiology, biostatistics, molecular biology and toxicology, and genetics.
