  Disaster Preparedness

It is well established that preparing for disasters helps to save lives and prevent suffering. The California Area Indian Health Service (CAIHS) endeavors to help the tribal and urban Indian health programs in California to prepare for possible disasters in their communities. These disasters include both natural disasters and man-made disasters that have recently become more of a reality. CAIHS assistance comes in the form of information sharing, education, networking, and training. This site is one such source of education and training.

Resources contains a wide variety of information for disaster preparedness professionals.
